What’s New at the 2014 Walk for Autism?
Location! This April we will be at the beautiful Rancho Jurupa Park at the Pecan and Acorn Shelters in Riverside.
The 5k course will be 3 times around the path. The path is flat and is wheelchair and stroller assessable. Can’t make it around all 3x times? That is fine – try one lap and show your support for others!
This year you can register and walk AND/OR use our new system to create your own fundraising page and collect pledges. FirstGiving provides an easy to use and safe system to email, send or post via Facebook, tweet or post via LinkedIn and tell others about the event. Click here to check it out!
The Exhibits! Parents are often looking for opportunities for their loved one to connect, make friends, learn a new hobby or meet other people who have similar interests. This year, we want to give our families an opportunity to meet and talk with some of the Social Recreation programs that exist in the Inland Empire. Vendors will be on hand to display their programs and talk with you.
No tshirts this event – but we will have bandanas!
We will have “Autism Touches Us All” bandanas for our walkers (while supplies last). Use it as a scarf, on your head, your arm, your leg – wherever you want to show your autism awareness.
